Postecoglou: "Tottenham showed character, we equalised twice"

Tottenham head coach Angelos Postecoglou commented on the outcome of the match against Arsenal in London, which took place in the 6th round of the Premier League.

- We had to demonstrate all our qualities. This is a strong opponent and sometimes we had to defend. But I think we demonstrated courage and bravery by continuing to play football. We pressed aggressively.

I think we were unlucky with the two goals we conceded, an own goal and a penalty. But we showed our character by levelling the score twice in a stadium where it is difficult to play.

I didn't see what the penalty was for, but I saw the penalty in yesterday's match. I don't understand the rule about playing with the hand. Now any hit to the arm results in a penalty, even if you hit from a metre out. But the referee awarded an eleven-metre penalty, no matter what.

The result is excellent. We played four away matches in difficult arenas. In three of them, we were behind in the score, but we reacted perfectly. "Arsenal is a top team, especially at home, we know how difficult it is to beat them," said Angelos Postecoglou.
