Ajax fans were noted for their scandalous behaviour during a crucial Dutch league match against Feyenoord. The match was stopped in the second half due to the fans and was not finished.
The meeting between the two irreconcilable rivals took place at the Johan Cruyff Arena in Amsterdam. The match was stopped in the 55th minute with the score 0:3 in favour of Feyenoord, although the disturbances in the stands started in the first half when faeiras flew into the penalty area of the visitors' goalkeeper Wellenreuther.
In the second half Ajax fans continued to pelt the pitch with fireworks and, eventually, after consultations of the chief referee with representatives of both clubs, the police - it was decided to stop the match completely. But this only angered the fans even more, who started rioting. Fans were in a rage, smashing the stadium itself. The police had to use tear gas.
Obviously, the reason for such inadequate behaviour of Ajax fans is the team's results. Amsterdam scored only four points in four matches of the championship. The team is in 13th place in the standings of the Dutch championship.
