Agent Oleg Avdysh, who represents the interests of Lviv Karpaty goalkeeper Andriy Kozhukhar, commented on the information that his client had received an offer from the Football Federation of Moldova to change his citizenship in order to defend the colours of the national team of this country.
"It is indeed true. Andrii received a call from the coach of the Moldovan national team, Sergei Kleshchenko. He is personally interested in him, and has been for years. We immediately reported this information to Myron Markevych and the president of Karpaty. The club reacted normally.
Andriy took time to think about it. He plays for one of the most ambitious and stable clubs in Ukraine. All his thoughts are with Karpaty now, he wants to help the team reach the UPL.
Therefore, the issue of changing football citizenship will be postponed at least until the winter break, or even until the end of the season. This topic is not yet being discussed," Ukrainian Football quoted Avdysh as saying.
