Lukebakio was replaced by Boubacari Soumare in the 65th minute and shortly afterwards Denis Sow came on in place of Adnan Januzaj. In the 71st minute, Almeria were awarded a penalty and there was a glimmer of hope. Lucas Suarez successfully converted the penalty, bringing the score to 4-1.
However, Almeria's joy was short-lived as Sevilla continued to attack. In the 72nd minute, Almeria's Leo Baptistao came on for Almeria's hopeful side, while Sevilla made several substitutions to freshen up the team and maintain their advantage. In the 75th minute, Jesus Navas replaced Joan Sanchez, which kept the defence solid. Both teams fought fiercely, resulting in a yellow card for Jesús Navas in the 70th minute and Caiqui of Almeria in the 77th minute. As the match entered the closing stages, Almeria were desperately looking for a way to get back into the game. However, their attempts were unsuccessful as Sevilla continued to keep the game in their hands. In the 81st minute, Almeria's Antonio Pozo came on and looked to turn the tide. At the end of the match the tension on the pitch was growing. Suso of Sevilla received a yellow card in the 84th minute, Ibrahima Baba of Almeria in the 86th minute and Erik Lamela of Sevilla in the 90th minute. In the last minute of the game, Kike Salas brought things to a close by adding a fifth goal for Sevilla in the 90th minute. The final whistle blew and Sevilla celebrated a stunning 5-1 victory over Almeria. In this match, Sevilla showed their attacking prowess and ability to control the game. Both teams fought hard, but in the end the victory went to Sevilla due to their efficiency and clear play.
