Aarhus midfielder Mikkel Duelund, whose contract is held by Dynamo, has to undergo surgery.
"I'm going to have an operation now. Unfortunately, I will not play again in the autumn. These are the consequences of my double ankle fracture in a Europa League match when I played for Dynamo.
My heel bone fused incorrectly into the Achilles tendon, which causes constant inflammation and pain. The surgeons say that after the operation, my foot mobility will improve and I will be able to play more freely.
Maybe people don't usually like to have surgery, but I'm really looking forward to it. Because of what will happen after it. This operation allows me to finally cure the consequences of a broken ankle when I played for Dynamo.
I'm playing through gritted teeth. Our physiotherapists have done a great job so that I can play. But I was hampered by discomfort both in training and in matches. I want to give everything for Aarhus. I like playing for this club, for the fans in my city. The fans deserve us to give them victories," Duelund told BT.
