Girona head coach Michel praised the team's start to the current Spanish La Liga season. After seven rounds of the championship, the Catalans are first in the standings.
"It's ridiculous to talk about leadership when the sixth round is on the calendar. It makes no sense to attach much importance to this, because the season is just beginning. The team is doing well, with good performance.
We are showing great results, but it's only the sixth round, and it's not too important for me. I prefer the fact that we have scored the most points in 2023 after Barca, Real Madrid and Atletico. It means we have stability. Only housewives can think about the Champions League now. It's not the time for us to think in this way," AS quoted Michel as saying.
