Kyiv Dynamo players played in all 54 championships of the former USSR. Weighty achievements of the Kyivians: 13-time (record) champions, 11-time silver medallists, three times bronze medallists.
And their first medals - silver - Dynamo Kyiv won in the first (spring) championship in 1936. It was held in one round, six rounds, with the participation of 7 clubs.
"Dynamo" defeated in Kiev "Red Dawn" (Leningrad) - 7:2, CDKA (Moscow) - 6:1, "Dynamo" (Leningrad) - 1:0. They lost on their home field to Moscow "Spartak" - 1:3 and another club from Moscow - "Dinamo" - 1:5. On the road they defeated Lokomotiv Moscow 2-0.
The Kyivians scored 14 points with a goal difference of 18-11 and finished the historic tournament second, losing to the champion - Dynamo Moscow - 4 points.
And two months later the second championship (autumn) with the participation of 8 clubs started. Dinamo (Tbilisi) players made their debut in it.
In that championship the Kyivians took sixth place.
In its third All-Union championship - 1937, which was held for the first time in two rounds with the participation of 9 clubs, Kyiv "Dynamo" won its first "bronze". The champions - Moscow teammates - Kiev team lost 2 points, scoring 33 goals into the gates of all opponents (the second indicator).
Viktor Shilovsky was one of the leaders of the Kiev club's attack of the second half of the 30s.
He was characterised by good speed and aggressiveness. This efficient and technical forward skilfully acted without the ball and accurately chose the place to continue the attack. He often completed combinations of partners. Kyiv fans liked his game.
The forward played six seasons in Dynamo, won silver and bronze of the All-Union Championship. Shylovskiy is the champion of Ukraine (1936), two-time Cup winner.
He was a member of the national teams of Ukraine and the USSR. Champion of the III Summer Workers' Olympics in Antwerp (Belgium).
During the performance in 1935 as a member of the Ukrainian team in France, Dynamo player scored a hat-trick against one of the strongest professional clubs of this country "Red Star", which the Kyiv team sensationally won - 6:1. The French press highly appreciated the game of the Kyivan.
Having finished his career as a player, Viktor Shilovsky worked as a coach of Dynamo Kyiv for four years, two of them (1957 and 1958) as the head coach.
That's how he was Viktor Shilovsky. The footballer, who stood at the origins of the first medal victories of Kyiv Dynamo, who later became the coach of the team from the banks of the Dnieper.
Viktor Shylovskiy left this world quite early 62 years old (in 1973).
