"I can say that about three months ago there was almost a drama when it was thought that I might leave. In Budapest, I told the players that I would stay, two days later we played against Spezia, and when I returned to the pitch, I told the fans that I would stay. Two or three days later, I met with Fridkin and told him I would stay. In the summer, I was offered the craziest offer any coach in the world had ever received, and I turned it down because of my word to the players, owners and fans.

Three months later, it seems that I am a problem - I don't accept it," Mourinho was quoted as saying by Roma's press service.

It will be recalled that clubs in Saudi Arabia were interested in the services of the Portuguese coach.
