Luton fans jumped up from their seats, hoping for a dramatic change in their team's fortunes, but Burnley responded a minute later with a goal. In the 85th minute, J. Bruun Larsen headed the ball into the net, restoring his side's lead. Luton continued to press, but Burnley's solid defence held firm. The final minutes of the game became tense and dramatic. Luton received two yellow cards in a row: T. Chong and M. Nakamba were warned in the 90th minute. At the end of the match Burnley made their fourth and last substitution, replacing A. Ramsey with H.
