Following the results of the next European Cup matches, Ukraine improved its position in the UEFA coefficient table.
As a reminder, this week Shakhtar Donetsk defeated Belgium's Anvterpen (3-2) in the 2nd round of the Champions League group stage, while Zorya Luhansk topped Iceland's Breidablik (1-0) in the 2nd round of the Conference League group stage.
As a result, Ukraine moved up from 18th to 17th place in the UEFA coefficient table, moving closer to the key 15th position (countries ranked 1st to 15th in the table delegate two representatives to the Champions League, not one).
Recall that the final table of UEFA coefficients in the current season will determine the representation of countries in the European Cup season 2025/26. Next season Ukraine, as before, will be represented in the Champions League by two teams.
