Football fans were surprised by the fact that after yesterday's match of the 10th round of the Ukrainian championship between Zhytomyr "Polesie" and Kyiv "Dynamo" (3:2) they contrary to usual did not find the press conference of the head coaches of the teams. The fact is that it simply was not there. And it is within the time norms of the competition regulations.
In peacetime, the post-match press conference of the head coaches of the teams was a mandatory regulation event of any match of the Ukrainian championship, but during the martial law of the UPL the situation has changed somewhat. Now there is a temporary provision in the regulations, which allows the organising club not to hold a post-match press conference if the stadium does not have the appropriate premises for it.
The central city stadium "Polesie" in Zhytomyr, where the mentioned match took place, currently does not have a room in which it would be possible to hold a post-match communication between the media and coaches. That's why the coaches' press conferences are not held here this season.
At the same time, the Zhytomyr arena has a mix zone for post-match flash interviews of the match participants. Yesterday the head coach of the home team Yuriy Kalitvintsev and his charges were actively communicating here with the broadcasters of the match "Polesie" - "Dynamo" and the press service of Zhytomyr club.
Dynamo head coach Mircea Lucescu was also asked to give a flash interview, but he refused to communicate with the media. The only representative of the capital team, who agreed to answer the journalists' questions, was its captain Vitaliy Buyalskiy. His interview is available on our website since yesterday evening.
