Jeremain Lens: "I've seen half of Kiev burned down."

Dutch midfielder Jermaine Lens, who previously defended the colours of Dynamo Kiev, has said that he did not feel safe in Ukraine.

- I was playing for Dynamo when the war started. I saw something I never hoped to see. I was standing at a traffic light and people in black clothes with sticks approached my car. My heart stopped. They walked past but then destroyed the police car. A policeman jumped out and he was beaten up. Back in Kiev now? I saw half the city burned down. I don't think there is any money that would make me go for it," Ajax Fanatics quoted Lens as saying.
