Spectacular comeback: In a thrilling Bundesliga match played at the legendary SIGNAL IDUNA PARK stadium, Borussia Dortmund managed a remarkable victory over Union Berlin. The 1-2 scoreline at half-time did not dampen Dortmund's fighting spirit and they played an impressive second half, eventually winning 4-2. Already in the seventh minute, Borussia Dortmund's N. Fullkrug hit the net, giving his team their first lead and sending the spectators into a frenzy. However, in the ninth minute, Union Berlin equalised thanks to an accurate pass from R. Gosens. In the 18th minute, Union Berlin's A. Kral thought he had given his team the lead, but the goal was cancelled due to an offside offence. Kral was substituted shortly afterwards and L. Tusart took his place in the 20th minute. In the 26th minute, Borussia Dortmund also had a goal cancelled as Fullkrug was offside. Things got even more heated in the match in the 31st minute when Borussia Dortmund's M. Hummels received a yellow card. Soon a penalty was awarded against Union Berlin, but the Dortmund defence, led by the experienced L. Bonucci, managed to save the day. With the start of the second half Borussia Dortmund immediately started to put pressure on Union Berlin.
On 49 minutes, N. Schlotterbeck took advantage of the moment and levelled the score in favour of Dortmund with a brilliant strike. The home side's determination became evident when J. Brandt secured a much-needed advantage for Dortmund in the 54th minute. The disappointment of Union Berlin was evident when R. Gozens received a yellow card in the 64th minute. Both teams made several substitutions to freshen up the line-ups and gain a tactical advantage. Dortmund's D. Malen and G. Reina came on the pitch in the 64th minute, while Union Berlin's A. Laidouni replaced B. Aaronson. Despite the substitutions, Dortmund continued to dominate the game. J. Ryerson's goal in the 71st minute delighted the stadium, increasing Dortmund's lead to 4:2. Union Berlin fought back hard but were unable to reduce the deficit. The match demonstrated the technical and strategic prowess of both teams. On 73 minutes, Borussia Dortmund's M. Hummels was replaced by N. Süle. In the final stage of the match, the Dortmund squad underwent another change: N. Fulkrug and S. Ozkan were replaced by S. Ozkan. Ozkan were replaced by S. Haller and M. Reus. Borussia Dortmund, showing incredible skill and determination, overcame the deficit and won an unforgettable victory over Union Berlin.
