"UVcontacted Daniel Julani, a former player of the Ukrainian youth national teams, who is a native of Israel and plays for the local club Hapoel Kfar Sava, asking him about what is happening in the country and whether he and his family are okay.
- Daniel, I'd like to ask you how you are.
- We are at home. In the morning, the air defence systems were activated, so the rockets did not reach our city. We live in the central part of Israel, in the city of Petah Tikva. So we are fine.
- How safe do you feel?
- We woke up in the morning to an alarm, the system went off on time as usual. Now we are still safe, there is a shelter nearby. So to speak, we are monitoring the situation and waiting to see what happens next.
- Do you have any plans to move anywhere?
- We have no such plans for now. We believe that our army will quickly resolve this conflict.
- What can you say about football? Have the matches been cancelled?
- Yes, it has already been decided. My team was scheduled to play in the Israeli league on Monday, but all matches have been cancelled. This applies not only to football, all schools, shops, other institutions and organisations have also been closed.
- We are waiting for good news.
- Yes, we also support Ukraine with all our hearts and souls and believe in the victory over Russia.
