Well-known journalist Mykola Neseniuk shared his thoughts on the fate of the 3rd round of the Conference League group stage match between Israeli Maccabi Tel Aviv and Luhansk-based Zorya, scheduled for 26 October.

"By following the movements of the Zorya football team, one can clearly understand the real course of the war, not the one invented by propagandists.

It all started when the team was forced to leave Luhansk, which was left to the enemy, in the summer of 2014 and 'temporarily' move to Zaporizhzhia.

In 2022, when Zaporizhzhia became a frontline city, Zorya moved to Kyiv, and this year the team moved even further - they play their European Cup matches in Lublin, Poland.

It turned out that this was not all. On 26 October, Zorya is due to play in Tel Aviv against local side Maccabi. But these days, it's not really football time there. So the war is pushing football further and further west, like a front line.

It remains to be seen where the match will be moved to on 26 October. At least no one in Israel promises that it will be over in "two or three weeks". Because they know what war is," Nesenyuk wrote on his Facebook page.
