The Spanish press reacted to the game of Ukrainian forward Artem Dovbyk of Catalan side Girona in the 1-0 win over Cadiz in the Spanish league.
On Saturday, 7 October, Girona defeated Cadiz 1-0 away in the ninth round of La Liga. Striker Artem Dovbyk started and played 72 minutes before being replaced by Christian Stuani. The Spanish press commented on the performance of the 26-year-old Ukrainian forward.
"He was unable to get into the game because Cadiz left very little space inside and he didn't get any overhang to be able to score. He called for a penalty for a foul on Fali, which could have been pointed out."
"After Darwin's sending off, Cadiz rallied, and the Ukrainian found himself surrounded by the opposition's central defenders."
"Machis' red card forced Cadiz to retreat even closer to their own area. Michel's team was forced to avoid set-pieces from the flanks, instead looking for opportunities from the second plane and searching for space between the centre-back and the full-back.
It was a match in which Dovbyk had to work hard, but there were no opportunities to score as he was constantly battling with Fali."
