Ukraine midfielder Heorhii Sudakov spoke about the team's preparations for the Euro 2024 qualifiers against Northern Macedonia and Malta.
Georgy Sudakov"We arrived in Prague in a good mood - I mean Shakhtar players. After all, we recently showed a very spectacular game in the Champions League. Despite being 0-2 down, we managed to win. The situation was similar in the national team's match against Northern Macedonia. We also lost, but eventually won 3-2. Now we are preparing for the next matches.
After such comebacks, you realise that anything is possible in football. You have to work hard and believe in yourself, then everything will be fine. After the match against Antwerp, we immediately went to Prague. I've been here for three days, so I had time to rest, I've fully recovered. Today was the first training session - the Dynamo guys just jogged a bit, while Shakhtar's representatives also did some technique exercises and played a game of square.
Northern Macedonia is a difficult opponent, and we have already seen that. The Macedonians recently drew with Italy, so they are a very strong team. But we hope that there will be more of our fans in Prague and, accordingly, more support. We will feel it, and it will be easier to play than in the first match, away from home. We need to be seriously prepared for the game from the very first minutes so that it doesn't turn out like in the previous game," said Georgy Sudakov.
