During this morning's training session, Vitalii Kulyba, the physical training coach of the Ukrainian national team, divided the players into two conditional tens according to the loads they have recently received at their clubs.
The first to work out were the players from Dynamo and Shakhtar, who had played for their clubs a little earlier. The guys performed exercises aimed at recovery and prevention of possible injuries. Right behind them was a group of performers consisting mainly of legionnaires, including Ilya Zabarnyi, Mykhailo Mudryk and Artem Dovbyk, who arrived at the hotel late last night. As most of these players had recently played full matches, there were fewer weight-bearing exercises for them, some of which were replaced by cardio.
Serhii Kryvtsov and Oleksandr Pikhalionok did not take part in the morning fitness session, as they arrived at the national team's accommodation only around 10am and needed to rest from the journey. Immediately after lunch, Oleksandr Zinchenko joined the national team, having played 75 minutes in Arsenal's 1-0 victory over his former team Man City the day before.
Together with the rest of their national teammates, the newly arrived players will travel to the Strahovskyi Stadium tonight, where the Blue and Yellows already held their first recovery training session yesterday.
