At the end of last year, Dynamo Kyiv successfully agreed terms for the acquisition of Romanian club Petrolul's centre-back Marian Hudzi, Orange Sport reports.
According to the source, the parties came to an agreement with the transfer amount of the 24-year-old Portuguese with Romanian citizenship in the amount of 800 thousand euros (plus a percentage for Petrolul from further sale), in whom Dynamo head coach Mircea Lucescu saw a replacement for Ilya Zabarny. And Hudzya himself was already preparing to go to Kyiv to sign a contract with the Bilo-Syni. However, the defender suffered a serious injury - rupture of the cruciate ligament of the knee, and because of this the transfer was cancelled.
But after almost 10 months Khudzya fully recovered from such a serious injury and returned to the field at the end of September. However, Orange Sport sources say that Lucescu's interest in Hudzia could return if he manages to reach the form he was in before his injury.
