Ukrainian football legend and UAF vice-president Oleh Protasov said what he thinks about the final matches of the Ukrainian national team at the group stage of the Euro 2024 qualifying cycle.
"We thank our warriors who give their lives on the front line and allow us to have football in Ukraine. We play first and foremost for them. They watch matches on their phones and forget for a few minutes that they are on the front line.
We have two extremely important matches against North Macedonia and Malta. If we win these matches, we have a chance to finish second in the group. I think in the last game we will battle Italy for that position. We do have a real chance to qualify for Euro 2024 despite all the problems we are facing," Fanatik quoted Protasov as saying.
