"Shakhtar donate part of the money received for Mudryk to support the defenders of Mariupol

Shakhtar Donetsk has used part of the money received for the transfer of midfielder Mykhailo Mudryk to Chelsea to strengthen Ukraine's military defence, the Donetsk club's president Rinat Akhmetov has announced.

"I have decided to allocate part of the proceeds from Mudryk's transfer to the Heart of Azovstal project to support the defenders of Mariupol, which helps almost 10,000 city defenders and their families. My position remains unchanged - we have helped and will continue to help our military, civilian Ukrainians, children who lost their parents in this war - everyone who needs our support and whom we can help. Today, our main common goal is to bring Ukraine's victory closer together," he said.
