Official. Russian NOC suspended from IOC activities

The International Olympic Committee has announced that the activities of the Russian NOC in the organisation have been suspended "until further special notice", i.e. indefinitely.

The reason for the punishment of the Russian NOC is a gross violation of the Olympic Charter, namely the inclusion of the regional Olympic councils of the occupied Ukrainian territories in the Russian committee. From now on, the Russian NOC will not participate in the IOC's activities and will not receive its funding.

We would like to note that this decision does not automatically suspend Russian athletes from participating in the Olympic Games in a neutral status.
