Armenia's head coach Alexander Petrakov commented on the defeat of the Latvian national team (0: 2) in the Euro 2024 qualifying match.
"Congratulations to the Latvian national team on a well-deserved victory. I take responsibility for this defeat. This is my coaching defeat. I saw in the morning during the warm-up that something was wrong with the guys. They were behaving very stiffly. I warned them all, talked to them. But, probably, it did not affect them.
As a coach, I couldn't shake them up, convince them. And they came out unready for the game. They thought they had some kind of skill, that they could do everything. And they came out untrained. And they paid for it. The Latvian team was more focused, their guys fought," Petrakov said.
