On the game against Luxembourg:

"To be honest, we expected such a game from Luxembourg. They imposed the fight and did not allow us to play as we wanted. We saw everything ourselves. We scored three goals and are very happy about it. Did Luxembourg hit the post? From my perspective, it was a very beautiful shot, to be honest. But if we had missed, it would not have been a big deal. We had many minutes to score. I was very confident in our team today, so this is the result.

Did you increase the intensity in the second half? I wasn't in the dressing room, I don't know if it was an instruction from the coaching staff, but it's in my blood. Like a predator, I want to take the ball away from the defender and put it into the net.

At the end of the match, there was a bit of confusion. I don't really like such moments when the team loses and starts kicking my legs. But after the game, they came up and apologised, so it's all right, it's football.

This victory gives us additional motivation that we can play with any team. It doesn't matter if it's Luxembourg, England, France or any other country. So today we will have a rest and tomorrow is the road, then we will prepare for the England national team."

On his goal:

"It was the first touch of the ball in this match. I am very grateful to Nazar Voloshin for this pass. I really appreciate such moments when my partner gives 100% of his shot."

On the England youth team:

"The top team, the guys there are worth millions. But this should never affect us, and we must show our game, because we are Ukraine and that says it all."

On the new coach Unai Melgosa:

"This is a European coach: they have their own character, they are perhaps more emotional, but Ruslan Petrovich was also emotional, especially at the Euros. We respect him as a coach, we do everything he wants, and we want to produce results every game."
