Enis Bardi: "We have long since come to terms with the June defeat to Ukraine"

North Macedonia captain and midfielder Enis Bardi told what he expects from his team's match against Ukraine in the qualifying for Euro 2024, which will take place today in Prague.

"The most important thing in our national team right now is the team mentality, which we want to change.

We accepted the June defeat to Ukraine as a fact that is in the past, we came to terms with it a long time ago. I think, in that game we paid for the loss of concentration in the course of the game. It led to small mistakes, for which the opponent punished us. We took full responsibility for that defeat on ourselves.

And now all our thoughts are not about that match, but about the second meeting with the Ukrainians: it is another important match for us, and we are determined to achieve a positive result in it. Yes, we feel pressure, but without such pressure it is impossible to achieve serious results, and that is what we are aiming for," Macedonian media quoted Bardi as saying.
