Setanta Sports commentator and journalist Ihor Boyko shared his thoughts on the 2-0 victory of the Ukrainian national team over North Macedonia.
"If you don't score, they don't score. Then you don't score again, and they don't score again in return. In the end, Svatok came on for Sudakov and Karavaeva for Mudryk, and finally we got a goal. Not where we expected it to go because of the law of meanness, but a goal! The score is on the board. It's not quite right when the scoreboard is the most important thing. But sometimes circumstances are such that it is the only thing that matters.
Ukraine's match against Northern Macedonia was very interesting, but there was no question of any control in it - except in some individual minutes after Sudakov's goal. But then the opponent picked up the pace. The match turned into a ping-pong exchange of bright shots that didn't seem to be allowed, but the goalkeepers were good enough for everything. Of course, in such a game, only the result matters. And it was in favour of Ukraine," Boyko wrote on Telegram.
