Dynamo midfielder Oleksandr Andrievskyi commented on the victory of the Ukrainian national team in the Euro 2024 qualifying match in an interview with the UPL-TV telegram channel.
Alexander Andrievsky- Did you expect Karavaev to hit from that distance?
- Of course, I didn't expect it. I don't know, when I saw him kick, I thought: "What are you doing?" (laughs). And then... to be honest, he made a masterpiece - just beautiful! I was screaming with joy in the room when he scored.
- Are you going to say now that only you, Beckham and Karavayev have scored from the centre of the pitch?
- Well, Sanya didn't exactly score from the centre of the pitch (laughs). But okay, let's say it was from the centre.
- Whose goal is more beautiful? Put them in their places.
- The level is different. So I think Beckham is in first place, then Kara, then me. After all, I scored in the Ukrainian championship, not for the national team.
- When will Karavayev score the next goal? Is it possible to finish after such a beautiful goal?
- No, there's no reason to stop, on the contrary, the excitement should increase. He's only 31, so only forward, there is still room to move and play. Let him score more goals for Dynamo, too.
- What are your overall impressions of the Ukraine national team match?
- It was hard. But the most important thing is that we won.
- What do you expect from the national team before the match against Malta?
- I think we will win. Against Malta, I think we will look much more confident than against the Macedonians. And this will help us in the match against Italy. I believe we will win both.
