DBI reported suspicion in the case of fictitious enrolment of Prykarpattya footballers in military service

The DBI on its official page on Facebook reported on suspicion in the case of fictitious enrolment in military service footballers "Prykarpattya".

"Employees of the GBR reported suspicion to the commander of the security company of Ivano-Frankivsk regional territorial centre of acquisition and social support.

In August this year, the GBR together with the DNR of the National police exposed in Ivano-Frankivsk the scheme of fictitious enrolment for military service in the security units of the TSC and SP relatives of the city leadership and football players of the local professional club.

As established by the investigation, the commander enlisted for military service in the security company 7 people who are players and coaches of the local professional football team. All of them served only on "paper" and did not fulfil any military duties.

These individuals "served" for only 1,100 days, receiving monetary and material support from the State. The fictitious servicemen cost the budget almost 1.5m hryvnias - this is the amount of money paid to them without grounds," the statement said.
