The Euro 2024 qualifying match between Belgium and Sweden yesterday in Brussels has been cancelled and postponed indefinitely.
The match started as scheduled, but just before it started, two people wearing Swedish national team uniforms were shot dead in the centre of Brussels. Another fan was injured. According to unofficial information, the shooter during his actions loudly pronounced the phrase "Allahu Akbar".
The first half of the match between Belgium and Sweden was played in full and ended with the score 1:1, but at half-time the guests took the initiative to suspend the game. The Belgians accepted this proposal and later UEFA, after consultation with the participants in the match as well as the local police, decided to cancel the match.
