The newcomer to Zhytomyr's Polissia, defender Lucas Taylor, commented on his move to the club and assessed its prospects.
"When I received the offer and saw the short presentation, I realised that the plans for the development of the project were very ambitious. I was also impressed by the club's infrastructure, which I can call the best in Ukraine. I think that with proper dedication, all the goals set by the club, namely participation in European competitions, can be achieved.
"Polissia is a team that likes to have the ball. We play at a high team speed, all the transitions from defence to attack and from attack to defence are at high speed. The team is quite balanced, but it can also draw the opponent into a game that can allow them to use Polissia's strong suit - counterattacks, especially through the left flank.
If we return to the team's prospects, then, without any jokes, I can confidently say: we are capable of fighting for the highest places and the title. After all, the game against Dynamo can serve as a litmus test. This is a team that is difficult to beat, no matter what condition and where they are in the table. We made it clear that if we can beat Dynamo, then why not beat the others, because there are no clear leaders in the championship," Taylor's words are quoted by the official Polissia website.
