The Los Angeles Times has published information about Lionel Messi's official salary at Inter Miami. It will be recalled that the Argentine joined the club from Florida in the summer transfer window.
According to a source, Inter Miami pays the player a base salary of $12 million. Messi receives another $20.4 million in guaranteed compensation. The amount does not include sponsorship and other payments.
It is also expected that agreements with adidas and sportswear manufacturer Fanatics, a share of sales of subscriptions to the MLS Season Pass streaming service from Apple TV and a share in the team will bring Messi's annual income to $50-60 million.
We would like to add that Lionel Messi's teammates Jordi Alba and Sergio Busquets receive more modest salaries. Alba receives a base salary of $1 million and guaranteed compensation of $1.25 million, while Busquets' annual income is $1.5 million and $1.775 million, respectively.
