The match was played at the legendary Anfield Stadium, where there was a tense atmosphere and fans were eagerly awaiting the result. The game started with a tense display of skill and determination from both sides. Liverpool were looking to pick up three vital points to maintain their lead in the Premier League table, while Everton were looking for a win to boost their chances of qualifying for Europe. As the first half progressed, the tension on the pitch was palpable. Neither team could break the deadlock, with both goalkeepers making crucial saves, preventing their opponents from scoring. Then followed yellow cards for J. Tarkowski and A. Young in the 32nd and 37th minutes respectively.
