At the end of the match, Newcastle made one last substitution in the 80th minute, releasing Hoelinton in place of Ethan Anderson. Meanwhile, Crystal Palace introduced Jefferson Lerma in the 88th minute, replacing Dennis Ozoh. Despite their best efforts, Crystal Palace were unable to get back into the game and the match ended in a convincing 4-0 win for Newcastle. As a result, Newcastle got the deserved three points in a one-sided match. The team's attacking power combined with a superb defence proved too difficult for Crystal Palace.
