Soon after, Crystal Palace made their first substitution, with Mateta replacing Jesurun Rak-Sakyi in the 60th minute. However, Newcastle were not going to let up the pressure.
In the 66th minute, Callum Wilson increased the team's lead, leaving the Crystal Palace defence confused. Despite falling behind, Crystal Palace did not lose their resolve and made a second substitution in the 70th minute, bringing on Will Hughes in place of Mateus Franchi. Newcastle, on the other hand, made a series of substitutions in the 69th minute to freshen up the game. Bruno Guimaraes and Kieran Trippier were replaced by Sandro Tonali and Valentino Livramento respectively. In addition, Adam Gordon and Callum Wilson replaced Miguel Almiron and Alexander Isak. At the end of the match, Newcastle made one last substitution in the 80th minute, releasing Hoelinton in place of Ethan Anderson. Meanwhile, Crystal Palace introduced Jefferson Lerma in the 88th minute, replacing Dennis Ozoh. Despite their best efforts, Crystal Palace were unable to get back into the game and the match ended in a convincing 4-0 win for Newcastle. As a result, Newcastle got the deserved three points in a one-sided match. The team's attacking power combined with a superb defence proved too difficult for Crystal Palace. Newcastle fans left the stadium in jubilation, delighted with their team's victory. Both teams will now focus on the upcoming matches, looking to move up the Premier League table. Newcastle will hope to build on this victory and keep the positive momentum going, while Crystal Palace must regroup and look to improve their results in the future.
