Both teams started this match very actively. "Dynamo" possessed the ball a little more often and accordingly more often conducted attacking actions, but it did not lead to sharpness at the gates of the guests. But Dnipro-1 converted their first chance into a goal. Moreover, already on the 13th minute of the game: Filippov ran away with the ball on the right flank, moved to the central zone, gave it to Gutsulyak, who sent the ball into the Dynamo goal with a shot from 14 metres - 0:1.
This goal did not affect the game at all. Dynamo still had a slight advantage in terms of ball control, but they could not get any actual benefit from it. Dnipro looked very confident, calm and continued to wait for their chances in counterplay. All this led to the fact that for a very long time neither team created a single scoring chance. But shortly before the half-time whistle the rivals exchanged sharp attacks. The first thing to note is a sharp shot by Tymchyk, after which Volynets recklessly kicked the ball straight in front of him, but the goalkeeper was backed up by Dnipro-1 defenders. And then Sarapiy after a corner kick made a spectacular shot from a flying angle, and the ball whistled over the crossbar of Dynamo's goal.
In the second half the game was more dynamic and entertaining. Already on the 52nd minute of the match Dynamo had a chance to level the score - it was Buyalskiy who shot unhindered from 14 metres and the ball almost hit the bar. "Three minutes later Dnipro-1 responded with Pihalenok's shot from outside the penalty area - Buschan saved his team. Finally, on the 56th minute of the game Voloshyn shot from 12 metres, and again the ball flew in close proximity to the goal post of Dnipro.
In general, Dynamo had almost full advantage in the second half, so Dnipro-1 was mainly engaged in defence. But as time went by, the efficiency of Kyivians' actions in attack was decreasing, and the nervousness of Lucescu's wards - on the contrary, was growing. And closer to the 60th minute Dnipro adapted to the aggressive play of the opponent and they began to succeed in destroying the attacks of the Bilo-Syni. As a result, Dynamo created their next goal moment only on the 84th minute, when Brazhko made a cannon shot from 25 metres, and Volynets repelled the ball with great difficulty. Shaparenko also had a good shot, but even in this case the goalkeeper of Dnipro-1 played flawlessly. And the hosts failed to achieve more this evening - 0:1, the second consecutive defeat of Lucescu's team.
After 11 rounds of the championship Dynamo has 15 points (with eight matches played) and occupies the 7th place in the championship standings, 8 points behind the leading Kryvbas.
In the next, the 12th round Dynamo will have a guest match with Kolos Kovalivka, which will be held next Saturday, 28 October, in Kovalivka at the stadium Kolos (kick-off - at 15:00).
