It should be noted that in the previous rounds, the White and Blues scored 23 points and finished second in the standings. And Dnipro-1 was breathing down our team's neck, having the same number of points, but was one line below in terms of additional indicators. So the reporting match promised to be interesting and uncompromising.

In the first minutes, there was a lot of struggle on the pitch, with the teams taking turns to possess the ball and making timely tackles, but it did not come to dangerous moments for some time. Among the important events of the match was the sending off of Kivinda, who managed to get two yellow cards within a minute and was sent off the pitch.
After Dnipro were left in the minority, Dynamo began to have more possession of the ball, combine and launch dangerous attacks. In one of them, Hajiyev failed to keep up with Kremchanin in his own penalty area, who was breaking through to the goal after receiving a pass from Gusev, and was forced to break the rules. Dmytro converted the penalty, hitting the centre of the box to put his team ahead.

After that, Dynamo continued to take the initiative and play the game at their own pace. Dykyi had a good chance to score, but he was offside, a promising cross to Mykhavko came from the corner, but our player failed to score. Dnipro's attempts at the opposite goal were also unsuccessful - Surkis acted reliably, entering the game on time. The hosts mainly played with a short pass. The opponents tried to catch Kyiv on the counterattack, but to no avail.
Shortly before the half-time whistle, after a long attack by Dynamo, Pashko had a good shot on goal, but Krapivtsov was able to deflect the ball away.

The second half began with a shot on goal by the visitors, but Surkis was not taken by surprise. Dynamo responded by doubling the score - after a counterattack, Ponomarenko received a pass from deep, broke into the penalty area and sent the ball into the net - 2-0.

The visitors tried to launch several attacks and take a corner, but failed to capitalise on these chances. At the same time, Kyiv's chances were sharper, with Ponomarenko missing the ball just a little bit after a pass from Kremchanin.

Dnipro managed to reduce the deficit when the referee decided that Pashko had broken the rules against Zelinsky in his own penalty area and awarded a penalty. However, Hajiyev failed to beat Surkis from the eleven-yard box.

Despite their numerical superiority, Dynamo gave up the initiative to the opposition for a while, but they still had their chances. In particular, let's mention the chances of Ponomarenko and Salenko, which failed to materialise. In general, our guys calmly brought the game to a logical conclusion - their victory.
