AC Milan midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek has spoken about the reasons for his move from Chelsea in the summer of 2023.
"At Chelsea, I felt like a caged animal. I didn't play as much as I wanted to, and when I did, it wasn't in the positions where I could reach my potential.
Here, I have a free mind and I play midfielder the way I like. It's like being a kid again and playing without worries. The whole team has this feeling, and we can achieve great things even without winning the league," La Gazzetta dello Sport quoted the 27-year-old as saying.
Loftus-Cheek has spent almost 20 years in the Chelsea system, but has failed to gain a foothold in the first team.
