Ukraine - Italy match will be held without any UEFA disciplinary restrictions

UAF First Vice President Vadym Kostyuchenko said that the Ukraine vs Italy Euro 2024 qualifying match will be held without any UEFA disciplinary restrictions.

"Indeed, UEFA has punished the Ukrainian Football Association for the behaviour of fans at the matches of the Ukrainian national team against England and Italy, which took place in September as part of the Euro 2024 qualifiers.

However, since the filing of an appeal against a decision of the UEFA disciplinary body does not automatically suspend the implementation of such a decision, the punishment for the behaviour of Ukrainian fans in the September matches in terms of partial closure of the stands for the next home match (5,000 seats) and a ban on the sale of tickets to the away sector for the next away match was applied to the UAF in October matches against North Macedonia and Malta, respectively.

At the same time, the UAF's appeal was partially upheld by UEFA's appeal body. Thus, there are no UEFA disciplinary restrictions on our match with Italy in November. The match itself will take place in Leverkusen, Germany. Ticket sales for this match will be open in the near future. Therefore, I invite all fans of the national team of Ukraine to support Serhiy Rebrov's team in the key match of the Euro 2024 qualifiers, "said UAF First Vice President Vadym Kostyuchenko.

The match between the national teams of Ukraine and Italy will take place on 20 November, starting at 21:45 Kyiv time.
