The Shevchenkivskyy district court of Kiev has considered the issue of changing the preventive measure for the unofficial owner of Dnipro-1, Ihor Kolomoyskyy. He was left in custody. About it reports Hromadske.
Also the court ordered to organise medical assistance to Kolomoisky and provide the necessary treatment.
Lawyers applied for a change of preventive measure from detention (with the alternative of bail in 3.8 billion UAH) to round-the-clock house arrest in the house of Kolomoisky in the village of Nikolskoye-on-Dnepr in Dnepropetrovsk region.
The lawyers referred to the deterioration of Kolomoisky's health. The businessman himself told the court that he has been suffering from pancreatitis and diabetes for 8 years, and in the pre-trial detention centre for a month he did not take the necessary medication, which he should take weekly. Because of this, he said, his chronic diseases have worsened. Lawyer Oleg Pushkar said that such aggravation could lead to "irreversible processes."
Prosecutor Serhiy Demyanchuk noted that already on 25 October, employees of a private medical centre will collect tests for Kolomoyskyy's examination, as requested by the businessman himself. Kolomoisky also asked to be examined in Dnipro, but investigators refused to transport him.
"There will be no examination, a doctor will come, take blood and that's it," objected lawyer Lysak. He added that the examination could have been carried out if Kolomoisky was released.
The prosecutor said that the risks of changing the preventive measure "only increased". He assured that the investigation "is not static", and during this time a large number of investigative actions were carried out. And added that a petition to extend the period of detention was handed in, which included a statement that they did not have time to complete certain investigative actions, in particular, to question witnesses.
During the court hearing, Kolomoisky's lawyer handed over applications for personal surety from Alla Mazur, Dmitry Tsyganko, Artem Kovalev, Sergey Demchenko and 5 more people.
In the end, the defence side asked to consider the statements of three people: the presenter of "1+1" Alla Mazur, MP from "Servant of the People" Demchenko and the chief rabbi of Dnipro Shmuel Kaminetskyi. They appeared in court to characterise Kolomoisky. All the speeches were positive.
