UEFA has launched a new campaign "Be a referee!". Its aims are to raise awareness of refereeing, emphasise the importance of referees to the game and inspire young people to embark on a refereeing career.
The campaign is part of a wider programme under which UEFA will assist national associations in their work to recruit around 40,000 new referees per season.
