Yevhen Pastukh: "I left Dynamo for personal reasons"

Rukh Lviv midfielder Yevhen Pastukh recalled the period of his career at Dynamo Kyiv, where he played for the U-19 team.

Yevhen Pastukh

- Your short biography in football attracts attention because at the youth level you played for Dynamo, Shakhtar, Karpaty and Rukh. How did it happen?

- I left Dynamo for personal reasons. At that time, I came to the conclusion that I would be better off in another team.

- Didn't you see any prospects at Dynamo?

- There was a good team there, a good coach, but at the U-19 level I decided that it would be better for me to join Rukh. At Dynamo, I played with Tsarenko and Horbach, who are now proving themselves in adult football.

- When you first left Dynamo, you went to the Carpathians. Was it there that you met Vitaliy Ponomaryov, the current Rukh coach?

- Yes, I did. Vitalii Yuriiovych was coaching the U-14 and U-15 at the time. After Dynamo, my father told me that there was an option to go to Karpaty, and I didn't mind and I'm very happy that I did. I learnt a lot from this particular coach.
