"Nice does not intend to appeal Ligue 1's decision to suspend its Algerian player Youssef Atal for seven matches for reposting a video on social media calling for a "rainy day for the Jews," RMC Sport reports.
Due to this disqualification, the Algerian will not play until mid-December. Earlier, Atal apologised for a scandalous video with a preacher calling for a "rainy day for the Jews" amid the conflict in Israel and the Gaza Strip, which he posted on his social media. The Algerian could have been kicked off the team for supporting Palestine. He soon deleted the post, and the club decided to suspend Youssef until further notice.
