Legendary Dynamo Kyiv goalkeeper Oleksandr Shovkovskiy is still in the third place in the ranking of the oldest players in the Champions League.
The last time SaSho played in the main European Cup tournament was at the age of 41 years and 255 days, when he defended Dynamo's goal in a home match against Italian Napoli (1:2) in the 2016/17 season. Only Gianluigi Buffon (42 years 315 days) and Marco Ballotta (43 years 252 days) are above him in the ranking.
The main change in the ranking this week was the appearance of Porto captain Pepe at the top, who played at the age of 40 years and 241 days in the 3rd round of the current Champions League group stage match against Antwerp. This allowed him to reach the 6th place in the ranking of the oldest players in the Champions League.
