Kolomoisky handed over a statement of his decision to the group's staff and the National Council on Television and Radio Broadcasting. According to him, Pakholchuk "as a representative will act in the interests of the companies and on behalf of the staff".

The document says that the powers to manage corporate rights include the ability of the manager to make any necessary decisions on his own behalf, except for the alienation and/or encumbrance of corporate rights belonging to the oligarch and the receipt of dividends.

The decision will be valid for 5 years. The group explained this by "the need to protect and preserve the principles of freedom of speech" and the fact that Kolomoisky is currently unable to fully exercise his powers.

On 2 September, the Shevchenkivskyi District Court of Kyiv imposed a pre-trial restraint on Ihor Kolomoiskyi. He was sent to custody for 60 days in Dnipro with the possibility of posting bail of over UAH 509 million.

The bail was later increased to UAH 3.8 billion. On 24 October, the court left Kolomoisky in custody.
