Valery Gazzaev says it's a 'smart decision' for Russia now

Former coach Valeriy Gazzaev, who by misunderstanding once headed Dynamo Kyiv, is excited about Russia's possible bid to host the European Football Championship in 2036 or 2040.

- I believe that Russia's bid to host the European Championship in 2036 or 2040 will be an absolutely sensible and smart decision. The current political situation in the world will not last forever. In my opinion, there is every reason for this proposal. We have excellent infrastructure, the country hosted the World Cup in 2018. I will fully support this initiative of the RFU," Gazzaev was quoted by local propagandists.
