"Regular microtraumas are already the first warning signs for Mudryk..." - sports doctor

Sports doctor Dmytro Babeliuk, known for his work with Rukh Lviv, commented on another injury to Ukrainian midfielder Mykhailo Mudryk of Chelsea London, which left him out of his team's squad for yesterday's 0-2 match against Brentford in the 10th round of the English Championship.

"This is Mudryk's second muscle injury in a month. It is noticeable that the player is working on the edge.

The first time he suffered a muscle micro-injury was in the game against Fulham, when Misha was substituted at half-time. The problem then was with the quadriceps muscle in his thigh. Mudryk missed a few days of training then, but was included in the squad for the game against Burnley, in which he played 8 minutes.

Then came the flights and games for the national team, in which Mykhailo played full matches. After returning to the club, the Ukrainian played 65 minutes against Arsenal, and then felt something minor in training.

It's about the player's adaptation to the new conditions. Pochettino puts a lot of emphasis on physical fitness and training. It looks like a natural process of adapting the player to the increased demands. Plus, Misha is working individually trying to adjust his fitness to the new requirements.

The main thing is that this forcing does not result in a serious injury, because such a regime can be dangerous for the player. And regular microtraumas (two in a month) are already the first bells that the work should be dosed," Babeliuk wrote on his Telegram channel.
