Head coach of English "Sunderland" Tony Mowbray commented on the debut inclusion in the composition of his team its Ukrainian striker Nazaryi Rusin.
Recall, the 24-year-old footballer got into the basis of "Sunderland" for Saturday's match of the Championships with "Norwich" and was replaced in the 71st minute of the meeting.
"We decided that it's time to give a break to our young player Burstow - it's still a bit difficult for him at his age to cope with the burden of responsibility that lies on the shoulders of the striker. And the team must win and score.
That's why Rusin came out today. This is not an 18-year-old boy, but a 25-year-old man, and we felt that he is almost ready to make his debut in the starting lineup. He has undergone all the necessary training in our youth team. At the same time, we took him not as a winger, but as a striker. He should play on the edge of the attack.
As for Rusin's adaptation, while another Ukrainian legionnaire Timur Tuterov acts as a translator for him. With his help we even made a presentation for Rusin in Ukrainian, so he could understand everything.
I am happy for Rusin. He worked hard, and today he entered the game well. I am sure he will be given other opportunities to prove himself. Ideally, we expect goals from him," said Mowbray after the match against Norwich.
