A well-known Ukrainian coach, the current coach of Zhytomyr's Polissia Yuriy Kalytvintsev commented on the awarding of the Ballon d'Or to Argentine striker Lionel Messi.
"I agree that Messi deserves the Ballon d'Or, but I hope that next year another player will receive the award. Not because Messi will become worse, but because competitors will step up. Holland and Mbappe also deserve to win the award, they are very high level players, but there is only one Ballon d'Or," Kalitvintsev was quoted as saying by Ukrainian Football.
