On 31 October, prominent Ukrainian football journalist Artem Frankov passed away at the age of 54. On behalf of the club, Dynamo President Igor Surkis expressed his condolences on the death of Artem Vadymovych.
"It is with great sadness that the whole football Ukraine has received the news of the death of a talented, outstanding football journalist Artem Frankov.
A whole generation of football fans grew up with Artem's articles in his brainchild, the famous Football magazine. He knew how to talk about football like no one else, sometimes seeing things on the football field that even professionals who had devoted their entire lives to the craft of football did not notice.
Everyone who knew Artem personally remembers him as a very erudite person, and not only in football, he had a broad outlook and rich knowledge. His colleagues called him a walking encyclopaedia, he always had answers to any questions.
A man who loved his work above all else and was devoted to it until his last days - in the new economic and military conditions, Artem and his colleagues continued to enthusiastically publish the famous Football magazine. His life ended too soon...
On behalf of all Dynamo players and myself, I express my deepest condolences to Artem's family, all his relatives and friends. May he rest in peace, and may his memory remain in the hearts of those who knew, appreciated and loved him.
President of FC Dynamo Kyiv
Ihor Surkis
