On Tuesday, 31 October, Artem Frankov's heart stopped beating. UEFA Honorary Member Hryhoriy Surkis expressed his condolences to the family and friends of the popular journalist.

Artem's unique, encyclopaedic knowledge base and life experience gave him a fresh and original view of the national game. His thoughts and ideas, embodied in a variety of television, electronic, newspaper, magazine and book projects, were in great demand among fans, working to popularise our football and increase its authority.
Colleagues in the journalistic field, players, coaches, managers will remember Artem Frankov as a man of sincere humour and a broad soul, and readers will remember him as a bright publicist and blogger, a subtle connoisseur and tireless promoter of football.
